Please donate in honour of my birthday at this time GIFT are helping so many....

We have mobilised literally an army of incredible volunteers to help with those in our community who are isolated and vulnerable and are endeavouring to run a whole plethora of initiatives to help the community.

All the major Jewish welfare organisations have been knocking on our doors asking for our help.

Jewish Care, Jami, United Synagogue, Federation, Holocaust Survivors Centre, homestart and others have told their service users to contact us if they need any help!

Before schools closed we were contacted by JFS, Hasmonean and Sinai schools asking to provide food parcels for the children who receive free school lunches.

At the same time we are struggling to provide food parcels for all the hundreds of families we regularly support and have been inundated with new referrals- our phones haven’t stopped!

Half our team have the virus and are still working non stop from their beds!

On our Watsap volunteer groups, every single request that we posted over the past two weeks have been filled within minutes. The panicked phone calls are replaced with phonecalls of gratitude.

Over the past 2 weeks our volunteers have

- carried out over 500 shopping runs, prescription pickups and deliveries over our 4 whatsapp groups.

-our volunteers have made hundreds of phonecalls to the elderly and isolated who now feel a little less lonely.

Our volunteers and team have made up 1000+ ‘care for carers’ gratitude packages and have delivered them to hospitals and care homes for the emergency doctors, nurses and carers.

-100 high school pen pals have been set up to write to specific individuals in care homes.

In addition, our 300+ weekly food packages continue to be packed up and delivered and now we are inundated with new referrals...
